BINTANGNEWS.com – Two months after starting operations, a waste bank in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, is providing additional income for residents.
“The BSI was established in May. We have collected Rp 60 million [from the collected waste] and produced Rp 20 million in net income,” said West Jakarta Environment Agency head Edy Mulyanto, as quoted bykompas.com.
From the waste bank, the recyclable material was transported on trucks provided by the agency for further processing.
